If so, and if your vet thinks it might be von Willebrand's Disease (vWD), please contact VetGen and mention this.  They are currently looking for affected dachshunds in order to find out if one of the genetic tests they have will work for our breed.  If one does, they will likely be able to publicly offer a test to help confirm the disorder in other affected dogs in our breed.
